About this Meghalaya Honeymoon
Living root bridges, crystal-clear rivers and waterfalls everywhere - the most romantic corner of the Northeast.
They call Meghalaya the Abode of Clouds, and on a honeymoon it truly lives up to the name. This 4-night journey takes you from the lakes and pine hills of Shillong, through the thundering waterfalls and caves of Cherrapunji, down to the legendary Double Decker Living Root Bridge at Nongriat, and on to Asia's cleanest village Mawlynnong and the impossibly clear waters of Dawki.
You finish at Shnongpdeng on the Umngot river and the turquoise Krang Shuri Falls - two of the prettiest, least-crowded spots in the state. Everything runs on a private cab with handpicked stays, a complimentary candle-light dinner and room decor, so the two of you can simply soak it all in.

Important Notes
Please read before booking
Best Time: October to April is ideal - clear skies, pleasant weather and the best views. Meghalaya is one of the wettest places on earth, so the monsoon (June-September) brings very heavy rain, leeches on trails and occasional roadblocks.
Nongriat trek: The Double Decker Living Root Bridge involves roughly 3,000-3,500 steps down and the same back up. It is beautiful but genuinely demanding - go slow, and tell us in advance if you would prefer a lighter alternative.
Border areas: Dawki and the Tamabil border sit on the India-Bangladesh frontier - carry a valid photo ID at all times and follow local instructions.
How to Reach: Fly or train to Guwahati; Shillong is about a 3-4 hour scenic drive away. All transfers are included on a private cab.

October to April is ideal - the skies are clear, the weather is pleasant and the waterfalls still flow beautifully. Meghalaya is one of the wettest places on earth, so June to September brings very heavy rain, slippery trails and occasional roadblocks.
It is the most demanding part of the trip - roughly 3,000-3,500 steps down to Nongriat and the same climb back up, taking around 5-7 hours in total. It is very rewarding but needs reasonable fitness. If you prefer something lighter, we can swap it for the easier Riwai root bridge and extra leisure time.
Fly or take a train to Guwahati, from where Shillong is a scenic 3-4 hour drive. We pick you up at Guwahati and handle every transfer during the trip.
Yes - everything runs on a private cab just for the two of you, so you travel at your own pace with plenty of time for photos.
Indian travellers do not need a special permit for Meghalaya, but carry a valid photo ID at all times - especially around Dawki and the Tamabil border area near Bangladesh.
Absolutely. Popular additions include Laitlum Canyon, Mawphlang Sacred Forest, Kaziranga National Park, or an extra night at Shnongpdeng for river camping. Tell us your dates and budget and we will tailor it.
A complimentary candle-light dinner and a flower/room decor on arrival are included. Share any special requests, such as a cake or a particular date, and we will try to arrange them.
