Please read before booking
Fitness: A basic level of fitness helps. We share a simple preparation plan; some daily walking or jogging beforehand makes the trek far more enjoyable.
Altitude: Higher treks cross alpine meadows and passes. We pace the ascent for acclimatisation and carry a first-aid kit; a trek leader accompanies the group.
Best Season: Most Himachal treks run roughly May–June and September–October; some (like Kheerganga and Triund) have a longer window. Snow treks have their own season.
What''s Provided: Camping/stay, meals on trek, a certified guide and safety gear as specified. Personal trek gear is your responsibility — see the packing list.
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before you book
Yes - Triund is one of India's most beginner-friendly treks. It is about 9 km each way on a well-defined trail with a steady climb, doable by anyone with basic fitness and a little determination.
The ascent from Galu Devi to Triund takes roughly 4-5 hours depending on your pace, and the descent about 3 hours. We start early so you reach the ridge in good time for sunset.
You camp on the Triund ridge in tents provided by us, with sleeping bags and hot meals. There are also a few basic tea stalls. Nights can be cold, so warm layers are essential.
March to June and September to November offer the best weather and clear Dhauladhar views. Winter (with snow) is possible for experienced trekkers, while monsoon makes the trail slippery.
No prior experience is needed, and a trek leader accompanies you throughout. It is a great first trek to build confidence before attempting harder Himalayan routes.
Good trek shoes, a daypack, warm layers, a rain jacket, water, snacks, a headlamp and personal medicines. We provide the tents, sleeping bags and meals; see the packing list for details.
Network is patchy above Galu Devi. There are a few tea stalls with water and snacks on the way, but carry at least 1-2 litres and refill where possible.
Yes - fit children (roughly 10+) and teenagers often enjoy Triund. We keep the pace comfortable; just tell us your group so we can plan accordingly.
