- Drive to Rumsu; trek up through oak forest.
- Camp at the Chaklani meadow.

Fitness: A basic level of fitness helps. We share a simple preparation plan; some daily walking or jogging beforehand makes the trek far more enjoyable.
Altitude: Higher treks cross alpine meadows and passes. We pace the ascent for acclimatisation and carry a first-aid kit; a trek leader accompanies the group.
Best Season: Most Himachal treks run roughly May–June and September–October; some (like Kheerganga and Triund) have a longer window. Snow treks have their own season.

It is a moderate trek of about 24 km over 3 trekking days, topping out at 12,000 ft. There is a steady climb to the pass and a descent to Malana; fit beginners with some preparation manage it well.
Yes - you descend from the Chanderkhani Pass to the ancient village of Malana, famous for its unique customs, self-governing council and distinct culture, before trekking out to the Parvati valley.
Yes - visitors must not touch the villagers, their homes or sacred objects, as local tradition considers outsiders impure. Follow your guide's briefing and be respectful; it is a living traditional village.
From the pass (12,000 ft) you get sweeping panoramas of the Pir Panjal and Parvati ranges and the Kullu valley - one of the most rewarding viewpoints of any short Kullu trek.
May to June and September to October offer the best trail conditions and clear views. Early season may have snow near the pass; monsoon makes the forest trail slippery, and winter closes the pass.
Naggar has a historic castle (now a heritage hotel), the Nicholas Roerich art gallery and old temples, giving the trip a cultural start before you head into the mountains.
A trek leader, guides, cooks and porters/mules, plus tents, sleeping bags, all trek meals and safety gear. You carry a daypack with water, layers and personal items.
Easily - the trek ends near the Parvati valley, so adding Kasol days or returning to Manali is simple. We can extend the trip on request.
