Fitness: A basic level of fitness helps. We share a simple preparation plan; some daily walking or jogging beforehand makes the trek far more enjoyable.
Altitude: Higher treks cross alpine meadows and passes. We pace the ascent for acclimatisation and carry a first-aid kit; a trek leader accompanies the group.
Best Season: Most Himachal treks run roughly May–June and September–October; some (like Kheerganga and Triund) have a longer window. Snow treks have their own season.

Yes - Prashar is popular as a winter snow trek (December to February), when the meadow and lake are snow-covered and stunning. Winter versions need extra warm gear, which we advise on.
Take an overnight Volvo or train to Mandi (well connected from Delhi and Chandigarh), then a short drive to the base village. It fits neatly into a weekend. We arrange the transfers.
You camp near Prashar Lake in tents with sleeping bags and hot meals, with the temple and peaks around you. There are also basic huts near the lake.

March to June and September to early December for pleasant weather and clear views, or December to February for a snowy trek. Monsoon (July-August) can make the trail slippery.
Trek shoes, a daypack, warm layers (extra in winter), a rain jacket, water, snacks, a headlamp and personal medicines. We provide tents, sleeping bags and all trek meals.
