Important Notes

Please read before booking

🌲

Best Time: March–June is pleasant and green; December–February brings snow to Shimla, Manali and Kufri; July–September sees monsoon showers and occasional landslides.

🚌

How to Reach: The trip is by road in a private vehicle. Most itineraries start from Chandigarh or Delhi; the nearest airports are Chandigarh, Kullu (Bhuntar) and Gaggal (Dharamshala).

⚠️

Hill Roads: Himachal''s mountain roads are winding and slower than plains. We plan realistic drive times and use experienced local drivers.

💰

Money & Network: Carry some cash for smaller towns; ATMs are in main towns. Mobile network is good in cities and patchy in remote valleys.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before you book

This backpacking version adds a night and slows the pace, spending more time in Kasol, Chalal and the hamlets of Tosh/Kalga, with the same Kheerganga trek. It is for travellers who want to linger rather than tick sights off quickly.

Ideal - the Parvati valley is one of India's most solo-friendly, social backpacking regions. You will meet plenty of like-minded travellers in the cafes and on the Kheerganga trail.

They are small, car-free hillside hamlets at the top of the valley with cafes, guesthouses and stunning views. Reached by short walks from Barshaini, they are perfect for slow, quiet days.

No - it is a beginner-friendly trek of about 4-5 hours uphill on a clear trail. Basic fitness and good shoes are enough; we keep the pace comfortable and camp at the top.

Characterful riverside guesthouses and cafe-stays in Kasol, simple hamlet guesthouses in Tosh/Kalga, and basic tented camping at Kheerganga. It is comfortable backpacker-style, not luxury.

Coverage is decent in Kasol and Manikaran but weak or absent in Tosh, Kalga and at Kheerganga. Enjoy the digital detox and download maps/music in advance.

March to June is best, with green valleys and an open Kheerganga trail. The trek closes in deep winter snow, and monsoon (July-August) makes trails slippery.

Yes - Manali is a couple of hours away, and keen trekkers can add routes like Sar Pass. We can extend and tailor the trip to your interests.
