About this Himachal Tour
A Himalayan ride without going full Spiti
A rideable slice of the high Himalaya. Explore Manali, then cross the Atal Tunnel into the wide, green Lahaul valley - Sissu, Jispa, Keylong and the road towards Baralacha - on Himalayan motorcycles, with a backup vehicle and mechanic riding along.
Less extreme than the full Spiti loop but every bit as scenic, it is a fantastic first Himalayan bike expedition.

Important Notes
Please read before booking
Best Time: March–June is pleasant and green; December–February brings snow to Shimla, Manali and Kufri; July–September sees monsoon showers and occasional landslides.
How to Reach: The trip is by road in a private vehicle. Most itineraries start from Chandigarh or Delhi; the nearest airports are Chandigarh, Kullu (Bhuntar) and Gaggal (Dharamshala).
Hill Roads: Himachal''s mountain roads are winding and slower than plains. We plan realistic drive times and use experienced local drivers.
Money & Network: Carry some cash for smaller towns; ATMs are in main towns. Mobile network is good in cities and patchy in remote valleys.
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before you book
This ride focuses on Manali and the Lahaul valley (via the Atal Tunnel) rather than the full high-altitude Spiti loop. It is shorter, lower and gentler on roads, making it a great first Himalayan bike trip.
Yes - we provide Himalayan-style adventure motorcycles, plus a backup (support) vehicle, a mechanic with spares and a trip captain who ride with the group. Luggage travels in the backup vehicle.
Yes - a valid motorcycle licence and confident riding experience, ideally on hilly roads, are required. You do not need Himalayan experience specifically, but this is not a learner ride.
The Manali-Atal Tunnel-Lahaul roads are largely paved and in good condition, with some rougher patches towards Baralacha. It is far less demanding than the Spiti loop but still a proper mountain ride.
June to September, when the Atal Tunnel side and Lahaul roads are open and clear of heavy snow. The tunnel keeps Lahaul accessible even when higher passes are shut.
Yes - a partner can ride pillion or travel in the backup vehicle. Let us know and we will price it so mixed groups can travel together.
Lahaul is higher and colder than Manali, so we acclimatise with local rides first, layer up before crossing the tunnel, and carry a first-aid kit. The pace is kept sensible.
Yes - for experienced riders with more days, we can extend from Lahaul into the full Spiti loop. Tell us your experience and time, and we will plan it.
