About this Kedarnath Yatra
A short, focused pilgrimage to Lord Shiva's Himalayan shrine
One of the twelve Jyotirlingas and the highest, Kedarnath sits at ~3,580 m against a wall of snow peaks. This compact 4-day trip from Haridwar is for pilgrims who want to focus on Kedarnath alone — the scenic drive up the Mandakini valley, the famous 16 km trek from Gaurikund, and darshan at the ancient stone temple.
You stay in comfortable hotels at Guptkashi and overnight near Kedarnath for the evening and morning aarti. Ponies, palki and helicopter shuttles are available at your own cost, and we handle your yatra registration.

Important Notes
Please read before booking
Yatra registration: Char Dham Yatra registration (the tourist card / biometric registration) is mandatory for all pilgrims. We help you complete it before your journey.
Kedarnath trek: Kedarnath involves a roughly 16–18 km uphill trek from Gaurikund. Ponies, palki (palanquin) and helicopter shuttles are available at your own cost. A basic fitness level is advised.
Best time: The shrines open around late April and close near Diwali. April–June and September–October are ideal; the July–August monsoon can bring landslides and road delays.
Altitude & weather: the higher shrines are at altitude with cold, fast-changing weather even in summer — carry warm layers year-round.

Everything you need to know before you book
It is a roughly 16 km uphill trek from Gaurikund to Kedarnath, gaining significant altitude to ~3,580 m. It is demanding but doable for most reasonably fit people over a full day, with plenty of rest stops and tea stalls.
You can hire a pony, a palki (palanquin carried by porters) or take a helicopter shuttle from Phata/Guptkashi — all at your own cost. We help you book whichever suits you.
Yes — this itinerary includes a night near Kedarnath so you can attend both the evening and the early-morning aarti, which is the most peaceful darshan of the day.
The temple usually opens in late April/early May and closes around Diwali (late October/November). This trip runs through that season; exact dates shift each year with the temple calendar.
Yes — Kedarnath and Badrinath together make the popular Do Dham yatra. Tell us and we will extend this trip by a couple of days to cover both shrines.
These are paid locally and rates change each season — roughly, a pony runs a few thousand rupees each way, a palki more, and a helicopter shuttle from Phata/Guptkashi is the fastest option. We help you book whichever you choose.
A small day-pack with warm and waterproof layers, a raincoat, comfortable trekking shoes, a walking stick, water, snacks and any personal medicines. Leave your main luggage at the Guptkashi hotel.
Connectivity is patchy at Kedarnath and better lower down the valley. Some networks work intermittently near the temple, but do not rely on it — tell family you may be offline during the trek and overnight stay.
