About this Char Dham Yatra
The complete four-shrine pilgrimage across the Garhwal Himalayas
The Char Dham — Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath — is the most revered pilgrimage circuit in the Garhwal Himalayas, and this 10-day journey covers all four in the traditional clockwise order, starting and ending at Haridwar.
You travel by private vehicle through the river valleys of the Yamuna, Bhagirathi, Mandakini and Alaknanda, with comfortable hotel stays, pure-vegetarian meals and a driver who knows the mountain roads. We also handle your mandatory Char Dham Yatra registration, so you can focus on the darshan.

Important Notes
Please read before booking
Yatra registration: Char Dham Yatra registration (the tourist card / biometric registration) is mandatory for all pilgrims. We help you complete it before your journey.
Kedarnath trek: Kedarnath involves a roughly 16–18 km uphill trek from Gaurikund. Ponies, palki (palanquin) and helicopter shuttles are available at your own cost. A basic fitness level is advised.
Best time: The shrines open around late April and close near Diwali. April–June and September–October are ideal; the July–August monsoon can bring landslides and road delays.
Altitude & weather: the higher shrines are at altitude with cold, fast-changing weather even in summer — carry warm layers year-round.
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before you book
The traditional clockwise order is Yamunotri, then Gangotri, then Kedarnath, and finally Badrinath. This 10-day itinerary follows exactly that sequence starting and ending at Haridwar.
Kedarnath involves a roughly 16 km uphill trek from Gaurikund. You can also take a pony, a palki (palanquin) or a helicopter shuttle at your own cost — we help you arrange whichever you prefer.
We assist with the mandatory Char Dham Yatra registration (the tourist card / biometric registration) for every pilgrim before the journey begins, so you are fully compliant on arrival.
Comfortable, clean 3-star-equivalent hotels and guesthouses at Barkot, Uttarkashi, Guptkashi and Badrinath, chosen for their location on the route. Deluxe upgrades are available on request.
Yes, with the exception of the Kedarnath climb — most of the yatra is by vehicle with short walks. Seniors usually take a pony, palki or helicopter for Kedarnath. We can also suggest our relaxed Deluxe version.
The circuit covers roughly 1,600–1,700 km of mountain roads over the ten days, so several days have long, winding drives. We keep the pace realistic with overnight halts at Barkot, Uttarkashi, Guptkashi and Badrinath.
Light woollens and a warm jacket (the shrines are cold even in summer), comfortable trekking shoes for Yamunotri and Kedarnath, a raincoat or poncho, and a cap and sunscreen for the strong mountain sun. A full list is in the "Things to Carry" section above.
Yes — with fewer days we can arrange a Do Dham (two shrines) or add a Kedarnath helicopter shuttle to save trek time, and we can upgrade hotels or add a Rishikesh/Haridwar night. Just tell us your dates and preferences.
