Tomorrowland comes to Asia for the first time from Friday 11 to Sunday 13 December 2026, at Wisdom Valley near Pattaya. This is the practical part: how Indians enter Thailand, which flights to book, how to reach the venue, what to pack, the gate rules, money, SIM and safety. Read it now and again the week before you fly.
Quick facts: Wisdom Valley, Khao Mai Kaew, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi. Age limit 20+. Passport is the ID. No camping, so everyone stays in hotels. For the full picture read our complete Tomorrowland Thailand guide.
1. Entry for Indians: visa-free, but do the TDAC
Indian passport holders currently enter Thailand visa-free for tourism, for up to 60 days. No embassy visit, no fee. Three things still need to be in order before you board:
- Passport valid 6 months or more from your date of entry, with a blank page. Check this today, not in December.
- Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) — the free online arrival form. Fill it for every traveller a couple of days before you fly and keep the confirmation on your phone.
- Return ticket and hotel proof — immigration can ask for both, so keep printouts or PDFs in your cabin bag.
Entry rules can change, so re-check close to your date. Our Thailand visa guide for Indians covers the TDAC and documents in detail.
2. Flights: book early, arrive 10 December, fly home 14 December
Bangkok is the gateway. Direct flights from Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Kolkata (and other Indian cities) take 4 to 5 hours, one of the shortest international festival trips an Indian can do. The ideal plan:
- Arrive Bangkok (BKK) on 10 December and transfer straight to Pattaya, so you get a full night's rest before day one on 11 December.
- Fly home on 14 December: a recovery day after the Sunday closing night and no risk of missing a flight because of festival traffic.
- Book by early November. December return economy fares to Bangkok are typically 18,000 to 30,000 INR when booked early and rise sharply closer to the date.
- U-Tapao (UTP) is the closest airport to Pattaya but has very few flights, so Bangkok Suvarnabhumi remains the practical choice.
3. How to reach Wisdom Valley: airport to Pattaya, Pattaya to the venue
Bangkok airport to Pattaya (about 90 minutes)
From Suvarnabhumi, the road to Pattaya is Motorway 7, and the drive is roughly 90 minutes in normal traffic; on festival days, allow longer. A private car or van is the simplest option after a flight: no bargaining, no waiting, and your luggage goes with you. Grab and Bolt also work from the airport, but surge pricing and long waits are likely around the festival.
Pattaya to Wisdom Valley (about 30 minutes)
Wisdom Valley sits in Khao Mai Kaew, Bang Lamung District, about 30 minutes by road from central Pattaya. Three ways to cover it:
- Grab or Bolt — convenient going in, but at closing time thousands of people open the same app at once. Expect waits and higher fares after midnight.
- Private car with a fixed pick-up point — the most reliable option for a group. Agree the spot and time with the driver before you go in, and save the driver's number.
- Official festival shuttles, if announced closer to the date — check the official channels for routes and timings.
What Yatraved includes: our Pattaya package covers private return transfers between Bangkok airport and your hotel. Daily venue transfers are not included, but we can arrange private cars for the three festival days on request — just tell us your group size.

December is Thailand's cool dry season. Afternoons are still hot, 30 C and above; nights are noticeably cooler and pleasant. Pack for both in one bag you are happy to carry all day.
- Light, breathable clothes for the day and one light layer (a thin jacket or overshirt) for the night.
- Comfortable closed shoes you have already worn in. You will be on your feet for ten hours a day on uneven ground.
- Sunscreen and a hat or cap — apply before you leave the hotel and again in the afternoon.
- Earplugs. Three days next to festival sound systems is hard on your ears; a basic pair protects them and you still hear every drop.
- Power bank — your phone is your ticket backup, map, ride app and way to find friends. It will not last the day on its own.
- Refillable water bottle, if the venue rules allow it (check the official bag policy first). If not, budget for water inside.
- Light rain layer — a thin poncho weighs nothing and saves an evening if a stray shower turns up.
- Modest wear for temple days — shoulders and knees covered if you visit the Sanctuary of Truth or Bangkok temples.
- Small zipped belt bag for passport, card, phone and hotel key, worn in front in crowds.
5. Festival-day rules worth knowing
- Age 20+. Those born in 2006 are admitted only if their 20th birthday falls before the festival.
- Passport is the ID checked. Carry the original, not a photocopy, every day, and keep a photo of it on your phone as a backup.
- Passes are personalised bracelets. The name on the bracelet must match your passport. Bracelets bought from random social-media sellers can be cancelled if they are not personalised in your name. Our tickets guide explains what to check.
- Cashless payments are likely inside the venue, as at most large festivals. Carry an international debit or credit card with overseas transactions enabled, plus a second card in case one fails.
- No camping. There is no DreamVille. Everyone returns to a hotel each night, which is why Pattaya is the sensible base and Bangkok is too far for three nights of back-and-forth.
- Three stages announced: the Mainstage, plus the CORE and Freedom stages making their Asian debut. Study the site map once released so you know the exits and meeting points.
Three things you should never leave the hotel without on a festival day: your passport, your bracelet, and a charged power bank.
6. Money and SIM
Thailand uses the Thai Baht (THB). For planning, we use an indicative rate of about 3.00 INR per THB, so 1,000 THB is roughly ₹3,000; your final INR cost depends on the rate on the day you pay.
- ATMs are everywhere in Pattaya and at the airport, but Thai ATMs charge foreign cards a fee on every withdrawal. Take out larger amounts less often.
- Carry some forex cash for the first day: taxis, street food, small shops and markets are often cash-first.
- Local SIM or eSIM — buy one at the airport counters after immigration, or load an eSIM before you fly. Data matters more than usual at a festival: ride apps, maps, group chats and your ticket backup all depend on it.
- Tell your bank you are travelling so card payments in Thailand are not blocked as suspicious.
For a full cost breakdown in rupees, see our Tomorrowland Thailand budget guide.
7. Health and safety at a 50,000-person site
- Hydrate before you are thirsty. Heat plus hours of dancing dehydrates you faster than you notice. Drink water steadily and alternate it with anything else you drink.
- Sun protection is not optional between noon and 4 pm. Find shade in the hottest hours.
- Travel insurance. It is not included in our packages. Buy a policy that covers medical treatment abroad for the whole trip.
- Make a buddy plan. With 50,000+ people a day, networks slow down and friends get separated. Agree a fixed meeting point and time (say, a named stage entrance every two hours) and an exit plan for closing time.
- Save your hotel address in Thai as a screenshot. Drivers who do not read English can read it instantly, and it works even when your data does not.
8. The final 10-point checklist
- 1. Passport valid 6+ months beyond entry, with a blank page.
- 2. TDAC filled online for every traveller, confirmation saved.
- 3. Flights booked: arrive BKK 10 December, depart 14 December.
- 4. Hotel confirmed in Pattaya for 10 to 14 December, address saved in Thai.
- 5. Personalised 3-day pass in your own name, bracelet details confirmed.
- 6. Airport transfers booked, and venue cars or ride apps sorted for all three days.
- 7. International card enabled, a second card packed, some Baht cash in hand.
- 8. Travel insurance bought and the policy saved offline.
- 9. Packed: closed shoes, sunscreen, hat, earplugs, power bank, light layer, rain layer, belt bag.
- 10. Buddy plan agreed: meeting point, check-in times and exit plan.
